During the Quick Scan, we emphasize on the six topics described in the image below. We do this by conducting interviews with different stakeholders and analyzing the infrastructure. We also take a close look at the current internal and external processes and how data could add to this. Of course, tools and architecture are also an important component. Do they sufficiently support the process of getting insights from data?
We also help define a number of roles that can support and boost getting to a data-driven way of working. We will analyze the current data team (and any roles closely related) to see if all necessary skills are covered within the team. Furthermore, we check out often-overlooked subjects like documentation. Is there sufficient and understandable documenting of code and software? To enable smooth transitions when people join or leave the team. Were manuals written when publishing new dashboards? To facilitate end-users optimally and increasing acceptance for a new dashboard, manuals are not to be underestimated. Finally, we also take a close look at the ethical side of things. In which way are we minimizing risks of biases? Are there any blind spots? Is there enough awareness of the topic within the organization? Is someone within the organization tasked with this subject?
The final result will be an advisory report and presentation containing our findings and what next steps to take. Apart from the analysis, we will also identify some Quick Wins so you can easily achieve the first results. We have a team of enthusiastic data specialists ready to help you take the next step!
